Dávid Paška is a Slovak theatre director, playwright, and writer working on the international stage.
He graduated in theatre directing from the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna (mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna) and has long been active within Central European and international co-production environments.
Since completing his studies, he has systematically focused on staging modern, original, and classical dramatic works on Slovak and international stages. His productions are created within international co-productions and developed in close collaboration with his long-term artistic team – scenographer Julius Leon Sedler and costume designer Maria-Lena Poindl.
In recent years, he has directed the productions ENDSlEG (Divadlo MALÁ SCÉNA Bratislava), the international co-production SNOW NEGATIVES (Lux, Wetzler & Vrba, Schulman), TATARKA (Slovak National Theatre), 1984 (Schauspielhaus Salzburg), ODYSSEA (Divadlo LUDUS), NA.TU.RAL (JKU Linz), and Don Karlos (Kasematten Wiener Neustadt / Wortwiege).
The premieres of Don Karlos and 1984 received significant recognition from Austrian critics as well as from audiences.
His productions have been presented at major European festivals, including the International Theatre Festival DIVADLO Plzeň, Divadelní svět Brno, Nová dráma, and the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS).
Within his productions, he develops stage adaptations of original literary works, creates original performance texts, and translates dramatic plays.

In addition to his theatre directing work, he is also active as a writer; in 2021, he published the poetry collection Nomos Črepín a Vrások.
